I am really getting tired, when i find something i like i am taking along a mechanic with me & the 3 cars that i viewed all turned out to have faults that the seller never mentioned. Please where can i look, desperately need a car before 2nd baby who is due next month, i need one

Answer:
Find a dealer that has guarantees vehicles for a certain amount of time. I have only ever owned used cars and a majority were great cars that only needed regular maintance or had problems that any car can have with regular use

You are seeking Utopia. Any secondhand car (as well as some new ones!) will have faults. It just depends on how fussy you are and how deep you look. Another reason is people tend to get a make/model in their head and go looking for it, based on the lowest prices they have seen on AutoTrader, or similar. Sometimes you need to spend more, for the same-age vehicle, to get one of superior quality. Although higher price, in itself, is still not a cast-iron guarantee. Sometimes you just have to accept that the car has a few faults - not expensive, or dangerous ones, of course - buy it and then deal with them at a later date, or use as a bargaining point on sale price.

Yep, I have bought a few. You need to ask them over the phone if there area any faults and remind them that by law they have to disclose that information to any prospective buyers. It takes a few viewings but there are good cars out there, just be realistic about what car you want for the price you have.

Most secondhand cars have faults, that's why the people who owned them wanted rid of them in the first place, particularly nowadays when people won't spend money on car repairs.

I'm driving one right now. You just have to know what you're looking for, and don't expect a used car to be absolutely perfect. You'd be better off looking for a 'guaranteed' used car from a reputable dealer.

what you did not say is how old is the car you are looking for .or how much you will pay ..
