What is this car worth?

• No pictures available but I was private car shopping and some guy was asking 4400 for his 2003 mitsubishi lancer. Here's the deets: Dark gray exterior Black cloth interior Automatic transmission Sunroof Power windows -- There was a scratch on the passenger rear end fender. It looked like another car side swiped it. The tires only had 30% tread left on them There was an oil leak and a lot of grime build-up underneath the hood It had 2 months left on aircare (something BC requires you to have. Good for 2 years and the aircare tests the emissions on the vehicle. So it would need to be renewed in 2 months, a slight chance it could fail) It has 168,000 kms/104,000 mileage. What do u think this car is worth? And how much would u pay for it? (And don't say nothing, I want to know the value of this car)

  In my view that car is worth much less than that, the tire tread should no way be below 30% that is illegal to drive on. The scratch, if you think you can polish it out is a no biggie, with everything else... About 1500 is the max I would pay, it sounds like a scrapper to me.
