When will the 2011 Honda Fit be available?

Why is the Kelley Blue Book Value of a used 2009 Honda Fit higher than a brand new 2011 Honda Fit?

  • According to Kelley Blue Book (kbb.com), a Certified Pre-Owned 2009 Honda Fit Sport in excellent condition has a blue book value of $17,890. They also list the fair price of a brand new 2011 Honda Fit Sport at $17,589. Why is the Kelley Blue Book value of the 2009 model Fit Sport more than the newer 2011 model?

  • Answer:

Because you are technically comparing two new vehicles considering the CPO is in excellent condition, the reason the 2011 model is cheaper is because they made a more affordable car by lowering their prices to build the cars. Cheaper but still just as effective suspension, engine parts, and even the exterior help lower the price on your end. The other reason is because you are more than likely looking at the base 2011 model and the 2009 model has a GPS system or DVD system or anything that isn't usually standard that would increase the price.
