How much is car interior replacement?

Without making too much of a loss how do i get rid of my car that only needs a replacement engine?

• The situation is this the ex basically didn't maintain it whilst living across the border so it needs a new engine.I took payment of the car out of goodwill because of our child but now we are not together she returned it.Without dwelling on my relationship with the ex i'm asking if there's scope for anyone out there interested in my 2008 1.8 Vauxhall Astra that is still in pretty much good shape but without a working engine and still get some sort of monetary solution to this debacle.

  I think you will find that selling it as is will involve a big loss. First check what you would be likely to get in full working order. Then check on ebay for the cost of a s/h engine {i thnk you would be looking at £3-£400 quid}. then check with a local garage the cost for them to swap the engine for you. My guess is Your expenditure would be less than the sale price drop as a non runner. some thing else to consider would be to just buy a s/h engine and advertise the car as presently a non runner due to needing engine replaced but supplied with a replacement for the buyer to fit. Obviously the big problem for prospective buyers is the need to have the car towed away so your likely buyers are going to be people involved in a small way in the motor trade ~ and they of course want to make a profit.
