How do I put my contacts in an order I want them in?

I signed a buyers order for a purchase of a new car and put money down on it, and now I dont want the car....?

  • Signed a buyers order and put down $750.00, they said so they could go and pick up the car. Now they did not sign the buyers order only I did, although in top of the paper there are a set of intials which are the managers, they also told me that if I didnt want the car once it came in that they would refund my money. Now they are saying they may not refund the money, there is no one elses signature anywhere on the paperwork but my own....any help on this.?

  • Answer:

Sounds like they are just trying to bully you into buying the car. If the dealer did not sign you don't have a completed contract and therefore not liable to take the car. You would also be able to collect your deposit in full. Just stick to your guns and insist they return your deposit or you will take further legal action.

These kinds of deals go south alot....we used to tell people that the downpayment was nonrefundable hoping to avoid this exact situation. They have your downpayment.....you'll get it back...how soon depends on how much of a vampire-knee-capping sales manager works there.

Your signature is all it takes, you agreed to whatever terms were on the paper you signed.

My husband sells cars. I know that you can get your money back. They are just trying to scare you. They will do anything to make you get the car. Does it say no refund on the paper? If not, you can get your money back. I am almost positive. I remember my husband saying that he doesn't count any car he sold until it is driven off the lot. Good Luck!!

They can't keep your money if you have received nothing of value. Refuse delivery of the car. Offer to see them in court if they don't refund the money. If you must file in court, it is 3 times damages. Good luck

On a major purchase you have 3 days to change your mind. I think they are only trying to scare you. You should tell them you will file a complaint at the corporate level. Dealers really worry about their ratings. For instance if it is a GM car, or a Ford car get the website and find out how to file a complaint. Then go to where you bought the car, and ask for this to be resolved or knowledgely tell you are filing a complaint with x corp.
