How much is my truck worth?

  • Hi. i have a 1998 chevy k3500 5.7 4x4 crew cab long bed in pretty good shape. kbb says its worth about $6000 but im not sure if thats right. the truck has about 142k miles on it but has a new engine with less then 10k, a rebuild trans out of a truck with 60k, and a new transfer case with about 5k on it and just had $2000 of work done to the new engine making all the whole drive train almost new. what will the value be? thanks.

    Well if KKB says its worth $6000, Then that should be close to the true Value of the vehicle. If you are going to sell it, you should ask for 6K OBO, you would most likely end up getting around $5,000-$5,500 Thanks
