What type of car is this?

What type of car should i buy?

  • I'm at uni and am getting summer job which i need a car to get to. I have about $4K saved up. I want to get a car that is reliable, and relatively cheap on running costs and new parts. I would be doing as much on the maintenance that i can safely do myself because i like mechanical stuff (doing it at uni). So far the car i like the most are 4 door honda civics about 93 models, mainly because of their reliability, but they hold there value fairly well so they might not be the best deal. Second hand Mitsubishi Magna's are so cheap because there are so many on the market. It uses more fuel than what i would like, but i am considering getting one just because of there low price. Also, i cannot drive a bubble car, cause i need to carpool sometimes, so a small car like a civic only just makes the cut in this category. What are your thoughts on what car would be suitable?

  • Answer:

I recently traded my 2007 Chrysler Concorde in for a newer Chrysler convertable, and I recieved $2000 for my car for a trade in, this car is very roomy, loaded with luxery, very reliable ( it had 102000 miles on it at the time and did not use a drop of oil) and I averaged 28-30 MPG on the highway at an average speed of 70MPH (daytime speed limit in Montana) At the time I traded it in, I wasn't even looking for a new car, just happened to be in the dealership getting service and fell in love with the fancy red convertable on the showroom floor, lol. But besides for being a fairley large car with lots of room, it's also very economicle as my folks' Honda Civic, and even cost me less per mile to own as thier civic did. in looking at the local wantad newspaper, the average price for a 95-97 concorde is $1500-$2500, so you will have lots left over for lisence and insurance, as well as any minor needs like tires
