How can I get a loan if I have no credit history?

How can I get a used-car-loan for a classic 1970's car with limited credit history?

  • I've been browsing the internet trying to find a loan service that will provide between 5k and 10k for an auto-loan. However, most auto-loan companies require the car you want to be a 2001 or newer. I do have credit, but I only recently started establishing it about 5 months ago, so there isn't enough credit history to be easily approved, or to be qualified as "good credit". Should I look for a personal loan instead? Should I give up finding a lender online and just start calling local lenders to tell them my specifications and see what they can do? I have someone with good credit that is willing to co-sign with me. Please help!

www.capitolone.com.Blank check. You can apply on line. I have many customers that have used them. You will need a co-signer. Don't run your credit too many times, it will lower your credit score.Good luck. Check out desertclassics.com. Good luck.

Never get a friend or anyone else to co-sign for you. You will not be friends very much longer. A personal loan, where you don't tell them what it's for is probably your best bet in my opinion.

been there, done that.

unless your bank or saving institution gives you a personal loan.. its not gonna happen.. only ones giving loans on cars that old are used car lots those buy here and pay here types..
