What is a good website that has government auctions?

I want to buy a seized government car?

  • I keep hearing about how you could get good prices on cars almost 90% off the retail value by buying them from a seized car aution. I checked out some websites, but all of them had some type of member ship fee. I don't want to pay for some thing and get a crappy listing of old cars or car autions. Is there any way I can go straight through the government to find where they will hold these type of auctions?, or at least a free website.

    Im not sure on this. I was looking for this as well. Whatever you do DONT GET A MEMBERSHIP WITH A FEE. It could and proably is a hoax. A lot of those sites arent even updated. My suggestion is look in the paper for upcoming auctions. Be careful on seized cars though because some might have a fat blood stain in the back. Or bullet holes.

A couple of suggestions. 1. NEVER pay a fee to a web service that claims to provide info on purchasing government seized merchandise. This info is free if know where to look. 2. Visit the Government auction sites frequently, they change fast and you have to be on top of it. 3. Most Government auctions require that you physically attend the auction and have the required deposit at the end of the auction. 4. You'll be required to take possession of and remove any item you buy within a specified time, usually 36-48 hours. If you don't remove it you lose it and your deposit. 5. Make sure you various government auction sites. There's a lot. 6. Start by going to www.firstgov.gov. Good luck

well you need to go to the auctions and some are on line. There is fees for all of them thats how they get money. The more it costs the more the fee. that covers taxes and title transfers too. Just make sure who they are before you pay anyone on line. Some are also dealers only. Try and find one around your house and go see what its like thats the best way. look on your phone book for one.
