How can you find out if it's a true SS car?

Does any1 know where i can find a 1969 chevlle SS 4 sale? a smal project car restorable condition & good Price?

• i am 16 years old and have wanted this car since i was 8. my parents said if i can find 1 at a good price and in a good restorable condition, i can get it. i have a brand new 350 block engine sitttin in my gerage waiting to be put in it. so PLESAE! help me out, i need this car!! thank you. :)

  A 69 chevelle SS is a highly sought-after car. If you can find a shell, no engine, tranny or interior, and probably in need of MAJOR restoration - you will still be in the big bucks. They just are not cheap. Look for a Malibu instead. They are the same body as the Chevelle, same panels. But the Malibu was not the performance optioned car. You can make a Chevelle SS clone for a fraction of what you would spend on the real article Good luck
