How can I keep my car clean?

How can I convince my parents to keep our current car?

  • Here's my dilemma: My parents are planning on purchasing a new car anytime now to replace one of our two cars. I really don't want to see the car go since it's been in our family since around 2001, and I still love it even though it's old (it's only worth around $2200 now). There's only 3 people in our family (my mom, dad and me), and my parents did consider keeping the car for me to use, but my dad said we can't keep the car for me because then we would have 3 cars in the household and our insurance company would automatically make me the primary driver which would cost a fortune and my parents can't afford the insurance premiums. How can I convince my parents to keep the car? I'm gonna be going to university in September but I don't know if this would help my case.

steal the other car, and make it disappear. then they'll keep the car you like and have a new one to.

Offer to pay the increase in insurance premium costs if you want the car so badly. If you don't already have a job, get one. If you already have a job, offer some of your own money to pay for the difference in insurance cost. If you really want the car and are willing to offset the added cost of keeping it (even if it's only SOME of the added cost) your parents might change their mind and keep it.

It's easy! Get a job, pay for the insurance! They will probably GIVE you the car if you can do that... I would! Believe me, if you're going off to college this year, the last thing you'll want is a car hanging around your neck, paying out insurance and gas money and worrying where you'll park it on campus. You be focused on studying and having fun!

At first I thought maybe I missed something but after thinking a bit realize it probably did not occur to you. that if you want some old car that bad then put it in your name and you pay the insurance. This solves the problem other than your parents own it and are planning to sell. solution? thats obvious. My suggestion before I get all teary eyed is let the car go. You dont really need it. And in the long run you complete your education and move on with your life other people places and CARS, will fill the void . hang in there

Just explain to them that you want to keep it. If they say no, tough luck, there's nothing else you can do. & remember, it's just a car.

What kind of car is it??

Two Lane.
