First car?! Which is more reliable??
-
I'm getting my first car in a few months. I'll have about $5,000 when it comes time to buy a car. I will have to get older model cars- 1999-2001. I really like the Eclipse(It's beautiful & sporty looking) I read reviews on 1999-2000 Eclipses & most of the people said the sunroof would leak bad & they put more $ in pairs than the car. Has anyone had an older Eclipse? Was it reliable? Toyota Camry Solara- Ive heard these are VERY reliable. Is this true? I like them, but they aren't near as sporty as an Eclipse. Would Solara's be a pretty good first car? I sort of like the Dodge Neon's, though Ive heard once you get to a certain speed, the car starts shaking. Is this true? Would the older Grand Am's be a reliable first car? Which out of the one's Ive listed do you think would be the most reliable &better first car? thank you.

Answer:
definetely the toyota... mitsubishi, dodge, pontiac are all made like shitt and will break on you in the near future. Besides, the solara doesnt look all that bad and if you get the v6, you will have very nice hp for a toyota. Good Luck

Toyotas have been very reliable. They are very durable and they tend to hold their value. But its all your decision.

i say hondas and toyotas are the most reliable and fuel efficient don't just think about a car and not know how much gas it consumes look for something that will not eat your money at the pump

Honda civic over any of your choices will be a better vehicle overall.

If I were you I would not even consider the Neon. Toyota would have to be my first choice. Try the Honda Civic.

How about a bicycle ? It's cheap, doesn't burn gas, and there's cheap insurance too !

The footmobile is more reliable.

Go Toyota or Honda, both reliable carmakers with decently looking cars.

Pass on the neon. They have a low safety rating. In an accident there is up to a 48% chance of serious injury. Toyota is the way to go. The solara is sporty and well built. Good Luck!

out of those you listed, the Toyota. Since others are suggesting cars, check out the Mazda Protege and Protege5. The 5 is kinda sporty looking in a small wagon kind of way and they are very reliable cars.
