What is currently the cheapest production car available in America?

  • I asked this before as "the cheapest american production car" but I didn't mean made in america. Since that may have been confusing, I am rewording the question. To be extra clear: I live in America. If i grabbed a wad of money and went out looking for the cheapest car, what's the car I would get?

I assume you mean a new car? Your question doesn't specifiy. You could buy a car for $200 if it is huge POS. For new cars, the cheapest production car sold in the US market is the Hyundai Accent 3 door, with a base price of $9985. The Nissan Versa 4-door sedan is right behind it with a base price of $9990. The Raven has officially gone off the deep end after teetering on it for months. There are at least 30 models with a cheaper base price than a Chevy Malibu.

i thought toyota was...well where i live cars cost 40k(for really small cars....sum1 mentioned a toyota yaris for 13k? in my country its prob like 60k or so but i think hyundai or toyota may be the cheapest. Chevrolet is prety cheap in my country too like 45-50k

Nissan Versa or Hyundai Accent. Both can be purchased for less than $10K brand new. The Chevy Aveo is just under $12k. The KIA Rondo is just over $12k The Toyota Yaris is just under $13K
