What happens if I have an extra person in my car?

What happens when a person who is financing a car dies, does the next of kin keep the car and not have to pay?

  • Answer:

If he purchased ‘credit life insurance’ from Ford you will receive the car without debt. Ford Motor Credit does not want the car back. If you have been making payments on time all along (called a straw-buy in the business) and have cancelled checks to prove this - contact Ford and ask to have a loan in your name. Or you could just continue making payments until the loan ends. (Ford Motor Credit does not want the car back!) Ford will mail the Title to the address the car is registered to. If you do not continue making payments Ford will repossess the car.
