What jobs can someone get with an art degree?

• I'm currently attending college and am studying Nursing prerequisites and general education courses. I am bad at science though. I am also bad at math and some English. I am good at drawing. I enjoy art. It made me be strong when I was in high school and being bullied. I also like to watch this show called "Face Off" and it's so cool! I would love to do the stuff the people in the show do. Art just makes me feel good because I can express myself. I would like to study art but the problem is what job would I get with that? My parents would definitely not approve of art either....

  There are THOUSANDS of jobs you can get with an art degree!! Look around you. Your bedspread was designed by someone. The cover of the book you're reading, someone had to draw that. The cover of a magazine, someone had to take that picture. Who ever says there are no jobs with an Art Degree is both ignorant and foolish for not seeing this. As for the jobs that come to mind: Graphic design, which can be digital or hand drawn media, and it's where most can and do go into. Photography (yep it counts and they have to take drawing classes a well.) Painting, a lesser employed way to go, but if you're good, a great source of income. Illustrators, you can't tell me you've never admired the awesome drawings on Harry Potter, or any other books. Portrait makers, professional or street performers, any medium. Interior design. Clothing design. Animators, cartoons are at a all time high now. Toy makers. Some go into the frame and matting business, that's an art in and of itself. Teachers. Comic book artists. Sculpting and whittling, woodwork. Glass blowing. Pottery maker. Furniture designer. Game designer. Makeup artists. Jewelry designers. And set designers Oh and photo manipulators/editors! The list goes on and on, and every job branches and sometimes blends into other ones. Add the assortment of any Minor an art major wants to go into and even more can be added! Don't let anyone tell you that going into the arts is stupid. If you feel good when you're being creative, don't hide it!! Don't go into a job for the pay or because it's approve by many. Go into a job that makes you happy!!!!
