What is the best sales/retail job to get into without having college degree?

If I go to a reputable college/university for a degree in arts can I get a well-paying job as an artist?

• I really love doing art (visual and creative writing) and I have a lot of aptitude for it. However, my parents are convinced I will end up living under a bridge starving. I would love to go to college for art, and plan on applying to schools like RISD and NYU; if by chance I get accepted to such schools and similar schools and obtain a degree, can I in the future earn a good living as an artist? Btw I know it's hard to get accepted to good colleges; I've been working hard in high school and in my art; I have a fairly good academic history, so we'll see.

  There is no easy answer to your question. A career in the ARTs is a very personal thing. You could get a job teaching . Go to school you will get a education. As to finding a job that calls for marketing and being in the right place at the right time and having contacts.
