What does the secretary for school do?

so, i really want to be historian for the school election, but my friend maddi is running for that and i didnt want to go up against her and make it look like i wanted to do it just to beat her, so i thought i would run for secretary. and, i know what you do, well kinda, so if you could explain that too, that would be great. also, what are some reasons for wanting to be a secxretary, i only have one, - because i am really good at taking notes, but i wanted a couple of reasons on things that secretarys do that i am good at. and sense i don't know a whole lot about secretaries, could you guys help me, Thank You

They tend to help out the President and Vice President by gathering information, getting help with their ideas and supporters to make it happen. President and Vice President tend to be the thinkers and the Secretary is the "Doer." Are you sure you should be running for a position you're not particularly familiar with? Do you think you can handle the responsibilities? The secretary is the synthesizer of ideas. They have to be practical and resourceful.
