Can you put creative art modeling clay in oven?

• I have some modeling clay. the brand is Creative art. I bought it thinking I could bake it, but now i am not sure. please help!

  Standard modeling clay, such as the type children use in school, should not be put in the oven. It doesn't have the proper composition to harden and will just melt and make a mess. Visit an art supply store where they carry pottery clay. You usually will not find this at hobby/craft stores. They will cut you off a hunk of it and you can use it to sculpt or make pots and this can and should be fired at a very high temperature, preferably in a kiln. There are other types of clay which are sold at hobby/craft stores which are specifically made to be baked in a standard home oven. Best is to read the label and make sure it is the proper type for your purposes or ask an employee. I'm sure there are a lot of visuals on crafting with clay on YouTube.
