Please help me answer some question about BRITISH folk music? And about the instrements?

And about the instrements? 1) When did the fiddle, the accordion and the mandolin come to Britain.? 2) What family do all the instruments belong to?     You keep emphasising BRITISH, but in fact the instruments and music are different from region to region. There is not much that is BRITISH in the sense that it is sung/played everywhere in the British Isles. For example, were you aware that there are Northumbrian and (I believe) Cornish bagpipes as well as Scottish? And that they are distinct instruments with their own sounds? Fiddle has more or less "always" been here, and has always been popular because it is a self-contained instrument - a fiddler can play alone or be part of a band, play for a singer, for dancing, or a solo instrumental piece.

the violin or fiddle was here since the early music period c 11th, mandolin was earlier but has never been used a lot, its use is more in modern times. folk music emerged from early music era it was a compact and versatile instrument giving a rich sound and a good companion to the other main instrument the recorder/ whistle/ flute guitars are a recent implement of the 20th century revival
