What's the difference between Modern Art and Contemporary Art?

Whats the difference between naive art and Folk art?

• Well i had recently went to an exhibhtion where the paintings and drawings were done by naive artists which was very childish like. but it reminded me like tribal art like african etc.

  Naive art: The artist is aware that art forms have progressed from naive art, but the naivety is either the artist's natural style they are embracing, or they have deliberately adopted it to get their point across/for whatever reason. Tribal art: The artist would tend to be unaware or just entirely uninfluenced by Western art ideals and so continue with the style and techniques that are a custom in the place they are from.
