  • I'm thinking about signing up for a one week film program that costs $1,300, I was just wondering is this a good price to be paying for a one week course? I need an answer ASAP as there are only a few places left.

    Who's teaching it? Is it an accredited school? Those are the only ones that count. Do a background check: Google the name of the program + the word "complaint" or "scam" or "rip off" and see if anything comes up. It sounds too fishy. i seriously doubt you will learn 1300.00 worth of ANYTHING in a mere week even if Steven Spielberg is running this one. Film making is an art, it takes time to develop one's craft and a few hours a day for a week, just doesn't cut it. I took university level courses in it and we barely cracked the surface in 4 semesters. Chances are VERY good that it's a scam. A red flag is them claiming you have to hurry, there's only a few spots left. Why won't there be another course the following week? What's their hurry? Hold off and check things. Call the police and ask if there have been complaints of this bunch scamimng people. Ask to talk to previous students. If they say it's "confidential," run. It will be a con game. Make sure they ARE students.
