How do I stop texting?

  • Okay, so, my mom FINALLY let me get a phone. It is a track phone though. The last two times she got me refill cards, I blew all the money on texting. How can I stop texting so much? I mean, it is like so hard for me because I need to always be in contact, and I find texting the easiest way. With all the activities I am doing now, my mom wants so bad for me to have minutes so I can reach her, but I told her not t o buy any because I would use them all on texting again. How can I train myself to stop? Thanks!

    Tell your 'contacts' that you don't have texting. Make calls from your house whenever you can, instead of using your cellphone. Trust me, you don't want your texting blocked. Because maybe one day you'll be in a situation where you really might NEED to text. So don't waste your money on texts.

buy minutes and cancel texting. the threat of being charged per text will always be in your head.

Well if I had a phone (which I would like one) I would turn it off and give it to my parents and say,"Take it but make sure I can use it to call my friends when I need to. Thank you." or just try to call as much as you can from pay phones or from your house phone and a choice is to use your friends phone but only if you have to. Hope I helped! =]

Have your mom contact the phone company to shut off the texting feature on your phone. It is free of charge and will save you from useless waste of texting minutes.

she can block texting on your number, if you really need to communicate do it the old fashioned way nobody NEEDS to text, they can just call. give me an example otherwise

you should purposely forget your phone and try to call your friends instead of texting them. a lot of my friends text nonstop and it gets REALLY annoying so DONT BE LIKE THEM
