Creative Ways to Ask Someone to Prom?

Prom is coming up soon, and I have a girlfriend to take, but i know that she still wants to be asked (which is understandable). So me trying to be the best boyfriend ever and much as possible, wants to ask her in the most creative way possible, and not to just strait up ask her (that's boring and girls love excitement). So does anyone out there have any sort of ideas or experience or even hear of some creative ways to ask someone to prom? Thanks a whole lot!!!

maybe in a letter that you pen yourself that is romantic something that she can keep forever maybe including a poem - it could be partially hidden in amongst a bunch of flowers

Lol, I know I'm a girl, but some guys in my school asked their girls out for Homecoming by: -using the intercom and asking them out so the whole school could hear -making a poster and hanging it up so she could see it when she walks in in the morning -asking her with a microphone during a football game -asking her during an assembly in front of the whole school etc (: You sound really sweet for wanting to do this and I'm sure she'll appreciate you asking her in the first place, but good luck!
