How do you start an art club at school?

What is everything i need to start an art club?

• do i need i member fee for art supplies?(how much should i charge for art fee) how do i get people to come to the club? when they come the first time, how do i get them to keep coming back? what art supplies will i need?(crayons,markers,glitter,glue,ect) how many people should be in an art club?(5,10,15 people?) how often do you need to meet for art club?(daily,weekly, monthly, yearly?) what's a creative name for an art club?(nothing cheesy) what day of the week should you meet for art club?(i was thinking Saturday afternoon,but if you guys have something better let me know) how long should we meet for art club?(1 hour 2 hours?) if there's anything else i should know please include it in your answer....thx

  Like Alice in asking directions from the Cheshire Cat, the answer depends on where you want to go. So far, what I hear from you is "I wanna have an *art club*". As best I can see, you have no mission, no purpose, and no direction. "An art club" is not a specific goal for which we can give you useful answers. For instance, one local club focuses on pleine aire painting. They meet twice a week for breakfast, then go out painting together somewhere. Another club meets twice a month at the art museum and gets a tour of one hall from one of the docents (trained guides). The local ceramics organization meets monthly for two hours, but has no art activities within the meeting. The basic question here is, what do you want the members to get out of being in the club? Until you answer this, we can't do much for the rest of these items. Who is your target audience? The meeting schedule depends entirely on them, and on other activities in your area.
