Beauty Pageants A beauty pageant is a competition that mainly focuses on physical beauty, although certain beauty pageants focus mainly on personality, talent and personal interviews. Beauty Contests began in Europe, where beautiful young women were chosen as symbolic queens for May Day to symbolize their nations’ virtues. Winners of beauty pageants are often called beauty queens. There are pageants for both men and women, although contests for men are more body building type competitions. There are also beauty pageants for children, which focus on beauty gowns, sportswear and swimwear modelling, and talent. Possible awards include titles (ex.: Miss America), tiaras or crowns, sashes, college scholarships, and cash prizes. These competitions are a helpful way for teenagers and adults to receive scholarships and cash prizes. There are two main types of beauty pageants. There is the Glitz Beauty Pageant, the ‘glamour pageant’, which features the contestants dressed to look much older than they really are. Typically contestants wear heavy makeup, crystal-embellished attire (A.Hermitt, 1), professionally done hair and hair extensions, flippers, which are fake teeth, false eyelashes, artificial tans and occasionally coloured contacts. In this pageant they must dress in an evening gown and swim suit wearing high heels, do a talent performance and an on-stage interview. The prize is mainly based off of beauty and their talent performance. There is also the Natural Beauty Pageants. These pageants focus on natural beauty and personality. In Natural Beauty Pageants, contestants under the age of 13 may not wear any make up and must dress and act their age. There is also a limited amount of make up and embellishments on the gowns or dresses allowed. They will have points taken off or be disqualified if they are found wearing make up, flippers, false eyelashes, hair pieces, etc. Contestants must Prizes in these pageants are based off of natural beauty and personality, as well as their answers in the personal interview. Aside from the attire and make up differences in these pageants, in both the Natural and Glitz Contests must the contestant pay a monetary fee for participating and winners receive cash prizes and gifts.

  Ok it is good ,but the third paragraph that you say is your concluding is worded like a body paragraph, your concluding paragraph should sum up,what you paragraph is about.
