Self esteem boosting site for teen girls.

Do people see me as I am in the mirror or in photos?

• I'm 16, and I have a major problem in my life. I can't tell if I'm ugly or not. When I look in mirrors, most of the time I look great. My eyes look nice, my chin is at a nice curve, skin looks good, hair looks good, and overall good looking I guess. But whenever I see myself in a photo, I look ugly as hell. My nose looks huge, my eyes are smaller and have bags underneath, my chin looks round, my nose and forehead look shiny and gross, and my overall face looks very narrow or squished. So basically I can't figure out if I'm ugly or not, which really has lowered my self esteem this year. I've had some girls say I have really awesome/pretty eyes like daniel radcliffe. Last freshman year, when this really quite attractive girl found out it was my birthday she got really excited and started singing "birthday sex" and she later told me to come with her to her friend's house after school, but I didn't really know them well. Later that year she asked me in class "martin, your handsome right?" it was an awkward question so I just said "um idk i guess". She then said "of course you are!". This girl I've been talking about, Sarah, is a really funny/random scene girl so I could never tell what she thought of me because of that. So I was just really confused that whole year because of her which seemed to ruin my life xD. She had to transfer the next year and still don't know why. There's also another cute girl who in freshman year, I over-heard talking to her friends saying "I'd kiss martin but he always seems so scared!". And now in sophomore year, every now and then in english class she writes in my book "I <3 martin!". i just smile and laugh because i really dont know else to do in that situation. Now for the ugly stories XD One time during dance class in 8th grade the girl I was dancing with was asked to switch partners with someone else and she yelled "Oh but Martin's soo hot!! haha I'm just kidding." She had a sarcastic tone but she said she was kidding so thats a double negative, and i really dont know how to interpret that XD. But the thing is, at the last day of school she hugged me so I guess thats good. One girl told me that another girl didn't like me because I'm ugly. Yeah I cried for hours (jk). Also, my friend always used to say "my ugly amigo!" to me. I couldn't tell if he was joking because I've never heard him say that to anyone else. One time I told that same friend about this girl I liked and he just laughed and thought I was joking. I honestly don't know how to interpret that since he's a guy. Also, for some weird reason whenever I'm walking down stairs, everyone below me looks up at me. And I know I'm not paranoid because they look RIGHT into my eyes. I have no idea why though. It's so weird. There's no expression on their faces either so idk. I know I sound like a narcissistic whore. But this problem has been controlling my life for the past 3 years now and I want it to end. My mind just gets so confused and my self esteem seriously drops. Sorry if my question was a little long. Thanks for listening to my stupid stories and please, From my description of how I am in mirrors vs photos and my teenage life stories XD. Am I ugly or not? And, do people see me as I am in the mirror or in photos? I would post pictures but...u kno..it wouldn't work lol. If you read this whole thing, please respond in any way you can. Any help from you guys would make me feel so much better. I know it's probably one of the weirdest questions on this site but hey thats how ****** up my life is right now XD Thanks in advance!

  Everyone is worried about how others see them. If you can look at yourself and realize that there are uglier people on this planet than you, then be happy you are better off. Seems you are getting more attention than I did, the only difference is, I don't care how others see me, I'll just keep trying to look my best with what I've got (and how off these big arms). Currently 22.
