Time management tips for a busy senior schedule?

Help with time management - hows my schedule?

  • I have a history of severely bad time management, my normal work lately day goes something like this; 6.00 - wake up, go to gym, work out til 7.30 7.30 - shower, dress and drive to work - pick up breakfast on the way 8.00 - arrive at work 10.00 - break, walk to shop, buy snack, eat on walk back 10.30 - back to work 1.30 - lunch, eat lunch, study 2.15 - back to work 5.00 - finish work, start study 7.00 - finish study, take off 7.30 - get home, dinner, tv 9.00 - shower 9.30ish pc, bed. Then I do it over again....I feel my work days aren't too bad, and I've been doing them roughly like this for about three months, but my weekends aren't so regimented and are normally 10-11.30 wake up, leave for gym 12.00 - work out til 1.00 - shower, dress, go to the store, hang with sam, run errands 4-5.30 - home, start drinking 7-10.30 - go out indescipherable time - get home, sleep My weekends, both sunday and saturday go like that, then monday rolls around and I don't have any time to get **** done. I really need to maintain my study schedule and I wanna keep up my gym routine. I don't seem to be able to have anough time to just chill out, plus my parents are worried im gonna run myself into the ground. Do you think this is a fine schedule to try keep to for an extended period? I'm getting most stuff done through my week, so it seems fine to me but yeah. Will running life like this actually ruin my health? Love your thoughts!

  • Answer:

Follow you m-f schedule on the weekends with a few changes. Allow your self to wake up at 8 and push every thing else back by 2 hours. Do things during the time that you would be working and then stop at 5 like you would normally. Take time to have fun from 5-11. Also you may want to consider not working out on weekends. Your body will perform better if you give it time to recover. Even Professional athletes know this.

waking up 1 hour earlier will give you 5 more hours a day to get "Sh**" done. That's my only advice because it seems like you have a really busy scedule. studying 2 hours a day and working full time seems like a lot.

hmm...It seems to me that you are only getting an hour and a half of down time during the week when between 7:30 and 9 pm. I think that is a bit much to expect out of your body and it's probably not only physically exhausting you but also mentally exhausting too. You should probably try to fit a bit more "down time" in there somewhere but from the looks of your schedule, I have no clue where you could manage to do that. Good Luck!
