Why are persuasive skills so important for a leader?

My skills as a group leader ?

  • There is a Group contain 8 members they are University students Their age is between 19 to 23 They have social problems also they have acadmic problems Note : I have to imagine the group its not real group I set it So : how you will feel if you are a leader and have co-leader ! how will you help this members ? how will you start and what you need ?

  • Answer:

Group therapy. The group is small, they can sit in a circle with you and your co-leader facing across from each other. Introduce yourselves and open the group by having each student introduce her/him self and give some background info - one by one around the circle - then open up the floor for discussion. If no one has a topic, you start by commenting on an issue common to most of them, and pass it to your left when you're done - the same as the introductions in the beginning. Don't worry about yourself and how you feel, worry about them and how they feel. Really listen and get to know them. Set out to help them, expecting nothing in return.
