How do you think internet shapes our identity and how we conceive ourselves?

    The internet, while being an awesome tool,, can also distort our sense of self if we look in the wrong places. For example: If you have some sort of fetish, and you go to a fetish forum, you're likely to find support for it, even encouragement. But if you were to go to a christian forum, you'd take a beating for it. I don't think the internet in and of itself can really help you form an accurate opinion of yourself,, that must come from within and from face to face contact and interaction.

I perceive the Internet as a complimentary device. The Internet doesn't change us or shape our feelings. We are just using the Internet to express ourselves in the same manner as we would in real life. All of the good and all of the bad would still occur. Just at a slower pace and with a smaller audience watching.

nowadays we can look at soo much stuff on the internet, there is online chatting, dating whatever and it's destroying our social lives. i think it's a lot harder for people to stand face to face and say things that they would normally say online to someone and it's taking away from acutally human contact.
