The Gender Studies Talent Show: What's Your Special Talent?

• I wanna see if men and women have vastly different talents or if they do things that are or aren't expected of their gender. My special talent is I have a exceptionally creative brain I can come up with a witty, mind blowingly good Ad slogan faster than you can type LOL. Whoever has the best talent get's the Best Answer. So get on the stage, don't mind the glaring lights and show us your talent!

  Yay, I get to brag! Nice question, I'm curious for the replies. I am a good cook. I have made up a lot of my own recipes (especially cookie recipes :p) with cheaper or healthier ingredients. I am such a good cook, that I have converted my anti-vitamin boyfriend into a true gourmet lover. I sew some of my own dresses and I knit some of my own and my boyfriends knitwear (winter stuff like scarfs and the things you put on your head which I forgot the English word for). And I do silly old-fashioned things like embroider flowers on things. I can get better discounts while shopping than ANY other woman I have ever met. My new winter coat cost me 9 euro's, my new leather boots cost me 5 euros. And they're expensive-looking. Ever since I was a kid, I have germinated seeds from the foods that we ate and turned them into plants (most of my family kills all plants, so that's a talent because I have moved so far from the rest of them). I can play the guitar as well with my left hand, as with my right. Although I have to admit that I can't actually play the guitar, but I should think that makes it no less impressive. I can stop talking when I'm told to be quiet. I can draw pencil and charcoal portraits with good likeness. I am the best guesser of exam questions of all the girls I study with, so I got an A average with little effort (in university). I can tell you the approximate calorie content of nearly all foods (very feminine, don't you think?). I speak Dutch, English, French, German, Norwegian. I can read a little Latin, Spanish and Italian. That's not really a talent, that's just something I can do. But I taught myself English and Norwegian, so I guess the talent is being auto-didactic. I can raise my left eyebrow without raising the right one, move my ears without moving my face and raise the top right corner of my lips without visibly moving another facial muscle. And I can bellydance, which is pretty much the same kind of thing. I have been told several times that I have a talent for horsebackriding. And even though I am convinced that this has been perceived thus because of my dislike for horses (I sat very stiffly on them, as upright as possible, to catch as little of their smell as I could), I still think that people should be impressed by this. I can consider lots of attributes to be my talents, therefore increasing my self-esteem magnificently with minimal effort.
