Why shouldn’t a woman have the right to choose an abortion if she needs one?

  • The "right to choose" sounds olpible, but whether it is desirable or not even in spite of depending on whether or not the choice is about very few people these days that would say a man should have the right to choose to beat up his dog-looking wife. Most feminists would deny employers the right to choose their salaries and employees on the basis of garden. Most people would agree with a law denying women the right to choose to abuse their children. Our right to choose in so many areas is limited by the more fundamental talibans of other people, and most people accept this. What a crazy world we live in.

    Legally a woman has the right to choose...Does making it legal make it right.....I don't believe so.....but to some it does.....and so the argument continues.......if it suddenly became illegal....would all women stop aborting children, or would we just loose more women and children to abortion?

This is a very controversial issue but lets make it simple: If a woman is willing to roll in the hay with a man and becomes pregnant, then she must live with the responsibility. In my opinion, she has no choice.

Maybe because they created the life. Also, I dont get why should only women have the right to decide in becoming a parent or not? If she gets pregnant she can just abort and move on...while a man would have no choice, he would to pay for it for 18 years. If its just about being pregnant and its 'your body' then I dont want the hear all the pro-choice reteric like it could ruin her future or she cant afford it. Abortion is the same as being a bastard. People always complain about deadbeat fathers not surporting thier children, but thier just the same as women who abort. In my opinion, for what it is worth, I think everybody (men and women) should take responsibity 4 a life that they created. I am for protecting all life including animals and unborn babies.//

well, to me abortion is the same thing as murder. So if abortion is legal so should be murder (not taking in consideration any religious beliefs). If you choose to have sex, then you agree to accept the consequences. Now in practice, abortion cannot be made illegal, because it would happen anyhow and under much less adequate circumstances. So by making abortion legal, the government can control the institutions that do it, making it more safe for everyone

I can't agree more....it is the woman's body, and if there is a reason it must be done, so be it. That is so much more humane than bringing an unwanted child into the over populated world which may very well be unloved, treated bad, and become a burden to society, a.k.a., in up in prison and then have the nerve to BLAME society for his/her shortcomings.

I agree, we must accept the responsibility. I don't think abortion is a "need", unless in some conditions that going through the pregnancy and childbirth would cost the mother's life or there's little chance that the baby would survive. There you can make a choice.
