How can I pay my Globe Life Insurance Premiums online?

Men pay more for life and car insurance but women should not have to pay more for health insurance?

  • http://www.law.com/jsp/article.jsp?id=1202434670357&Advocates_Say_Being_a_Woman_Is_Not_a_PreExisting_Condition Isn't this is a rather selective campaign for equality? . Men pay higher premiums than women for life insurance and car insurance, but feminists don't care about that. Feminists do care about insurance companies charging women higher health insurance premiums though. So they want to ban it. Which means men pay higher premiums to make up the difference. In the end, this selective equality just amounts to one more government-enforced subsidization by men of women. Does it not?

  • Answer:

Women utilize health services more than men. They pay more. Men under the age of 25 get in the most car accidents and are the most reckless in those cars. They pay more. Men are more prone to disease and fatal health risks than women and are less likely to go to the doctors. They pay more. It's risk-assessment on the part of the insurers and it sounds about right to me. I've always hated this "argument" as used by both feminists and our opponents. This has to do with business optimization for insurance companies NOT "equality." Atleast it shouldn't. It's statistics. That's it.

In a silent way

Feminism does NOT want equality. Feminism, as proven here repeatedly, seeks only *selective equality* That is, if it benefits women (e.g. equality in health insurance) they want equality. However, if it would benefit men (e.g. equality in car insurance) they find excuses and accept the inequality, most will heavily defend the inequality - because the INequality is what benefits women. Why feminists have to lie and assume we're all stupid enough to accept their lies of 'we want equality' is beyond me.

Every campaign for equality is selective. Not everyone can fight all the issues at once. So those of us who fight, do so for what we're most passionate about (in my case, parental rights for men and sexual/dating standards for women, for the record). edit: Honestly I'm fine with the insurance companies doing what they will. They're in it to make money, and I believe in the capitalist system. They can charge what they want, and if market forces don't stop them, then that's our own fault. My response was more about you seeing hypocrisy where it isn't necessarily there.

honestly, I don't give a f*ck about these"women's rights" and "feminism." People see a problem when they want to see a problem. Yes, woman are charged more for health insurance. But we are way more likely to use it than men. We get pregnant, are more susceptible to infection, we are more prone to genetic diseases, and we are plain more likely to go use a doctor for just a common cold. Overall, the companies have full rights to charge us more for health insurance. Men get charged more for car insurance, which I don't think is fair. Not every male is a reckless driver, but many are. Insurance companies take the generalization. Men are more likely to die while there is someone around to claim the policy than woman, so they pay more for life insurance. Yes these are stereotypes and generalizations, but they are fairly accurate. This is not an issue of discrimination, it's an assertion of the insurance company's right to maintain a profit.

People who drive red cars also pay more for car insurance because red cars are involved in the most wrecks. I have yet to hear anyone complain about that one despite the fact it is about the dumbest reason I have ever heard for charging people more for insurance. Clockwork Apple nailed it. Insurance companies will look at stats and make their decision based on that. Whether it's right or wrong, if it's wrong for health insurance companies to do it to women it's wrong in every other case. The difference is we men are supposed to sit back and take it for all the thousands of years that men beat their wives and killed them and treated them like dirt and all the other things you hear.

Don't really see "women paying more of health care" as being a discrimination, women use their health care more. Like young men being accident prone and old men dying sooner. Just a facts. But I like the idea that the courts are going to really look at these statistics that health companies use to determine how much more women pay. I pulled some quotes the other day for another Q. From blue cross blue shield in NC, used same age, same zip, and non smoker..no previous conditions. I got $130.00 for a female no maternity coverage, 420.00 for female with maternity...and only 90.00 a month for a male..same basic coverage plan. I do think that this should be looked into...thats a pretty HUGE difference...'more' sure, ok....but IDK if they can justify that much more. If they can justify it...nothing should be done..just be the way it is. (and a note i do believe that young males paying more for car insurance, has already gone to court a few times before) And the other stats on your link that women can be denied coverage for being pregnant before...and for being a domestic abuse victim..are totally uncalled for.

Men tend to pay more because they are more likely to take risks and cost insurance companies money when those risks result in accidents.

Everyone knows women go to the doctors way more than men. They definitely cost way more than half of the total health care costs. I know feminists, they'll focus on the fact women have babies. Yet this is one issue and it should not cast a shadow over every other fact of life that equally exists. Men do have health concerns that are more particular to them such as workplace injury and chemical addiction, depression (albeit this issue has already been hijacked by feminism, it is totally mischaracterized as a female issue) etc. Anyway, not all women have kids and the ones that do don't have kids all the time. Even without having kids, women go to the doctors more than men. You can't have it both ways ladies. When will you understand that? We can have gender specific insurance rates, or not. But don't pick and chose what helps you out and what doesn't. It's very insulting to people's intelligence to even try to get away with that crap all the time. Yes, it's obvious. We are paying attention to you. OK?

I dunno b/c haha LOL!
