What is partition in technical writing?

Help Please! I need to find articles that discuss the methods used for the partition of India & Pakistan 1947?

I'm writing a 15 page research paper on the India Pakistan partition of 1947. I have articles on the causes and the events leading up to it and the no. of people who were displaced and how it affected their lives but i'm having loads of troubles on how the borders changed and how the maps changed (cartography information), which cities had to be split up, which villages were there conflicts and like at what longitude and what lattitude it was designed to split up i also want to know the role kashmir played in the partition I would really really appreciate your help Thank you
