How do I write to Loose Women?

How can i write a contention for "little women"?

  • were doing an essay on the book, "little women" about 2 of the characters development. i need help on how to write a contention. so far i've got: "Alcott has been successful in providing the reader information to further imply our understanding of the girl’s personalities and life morals. is this good? and what can i add?

    I'll admit I had to look up the literary definition of contention. It means to assert a point as part of an argument. I do not think your essay thesis statement (main point) provides an argument for you to provide evidence for. Also, do your need how two characters relate to each other, or how two characters develop over time? I do not think your statement is correct the way it is written. If you want to use it, try "(I believe that ) Alcott has been successful in showing the reader how the characters of (Meg, Amy, etc) have developed emotionally and socially throughout the course of the book"... then provide paragraphs to support the statement. I do not know what grade you are in, but this could be used as a base for your writing ideas. An example of a Little Women contention statement might be something like, "L.M. Alcott show that Amy and Josephine (Jo) March have a history of conflict during the course of the book. The two characters start out with sisterly teasing over Laurie, but escalates when they grown up. I believe this because....."
