Why do people bash video games and blame them for all of societies problems?

    well, when kids cant even play a game and get to the next level w/o a cheat, it kinda speaks to the crux of the problem...bad parenting, indoctrination, sloth, envy, false sense of entitlement, etc, etc, etc. however, it is only a symptiom of larger problems, poor parenting, poor education systems, and thinking we can baby sit our kids w/ a video game or tv and a happy meal.

"All of societies problems"? I see you have been brain washed too!!!!!!!!!! But really...look at the groups who are saying that. The news? Want to get a news story. Psychologists? Techonology is one of the few new studies in recent history. My personal note: Read a book, comics, whatever it be...take a walk outside, talk to your neighbors, enjoy the sun, don't be glued to the television screen or computer like I am right now :) because life will literally pass you by!

because the ones that do have never played a video game in there life, they just see some mild violence and over react. Edit_ and most that buy games for there children and then complain later that the game is too violent, don't even bother to look at age restrictions.
