Is biological loss correlated with loss of cultural diversity?

What would be some of the positive and negative results of the loss of racial diversity?

  • Until the middle of the 20th century, most people married someone in their hometown of the same race and religion. When people started traveling extensively in the middle of the 20th century, they started marrying individuals from other areas. What were once isolated populations around the world are now one universal population of humans. Scientists predict that phenotypic differences that identify us as different races will, over a few generations, disappear and individuals around the world will look more similar than different. What would be some of the positive and negative results of the loss of racial diversity?

  • Answer:

remember that as we change over generations, over MORE generations we shall revert to nearly where we are. The phenotypical differences are not arbitrary-they are crucial for survival. If climatic conditions hold, skin color differences at least should never disappear
