Are young people still drawn to cults like back in the 70s and 80s?
-
Back in the 70s and 80s there were a lot of stories about people getting drawn into cults, often young people without direction. There used to be cult recruiting at locations that are not available any more, such as airports... True, we have the Internet now, but perhaps fewer people that are "drifters"? Is there the same kind of phenomenon these days?

Answer:
The internet has made it harder for cults to occur due to the availability of information and the steady rise of psychological awareness about cultic methods of brainwashing and mental control, yes. There will always be people willing to get involved in it though - some people are just in it for the role-playing even.
