What's the difference between "Copy" paper and "Multipurpose" Paper?

How do u write a paper that requires using concepts analytically and not descriptively whats the difference?

  • help please!! i have to write a paper using analysis and not descriptions, but if u have to write about ur friends or family or something, how do u do that analytically without just describing what i see and stuff?? thanks

I am not sure what type of analysis you are expected to do here, but here are some broad ideas: (1) Descriptive writing relates only what is seen or sensed, such as feelings - analytical writing relates what is, or might be, the causes, dynamics, or results of what is observed. (2) Descriptive example: "The car skidded off the road." Analytical example: "Because the car was going too fast, and the driver was distracted by personal problems, the car skidded off the road during a sharp turn." (3) The descriptive example dealt only with what was seen happening. The analytical example added reasons as to what caused the events seen. Another type of comparison can be made describing a war. The descriptive account would deal with the movement and deployment of of troops and equipment (no small task to do that either), and the analytical account would deal with why certain deployments were made, and the geo-political reasons for the war in the first place. Usually no writing is just one or the other, but an amalgam of both. This assignment was to force you to think about the differences and to separate the elements of each. It is an exercise in thinking, not in writing. Hope this helps. Good luck!!

Analyze is the opposite of synthesize. Hence it means to separate or break down, vs synthesize which means uniting or constructing. Describing is just enumerating the observable attributes of something. When writing an analitical paper first you start by identifying the object and objectives of the analysis: - this is the introduction. Then you continue by describing the object and objectives of the study and breakdown the object ito different parts, thay can be obvious or arbitary parts. Then you describe each part one by one, evaluate it considering different perspectives, and finish the partial analysis, with a small conclusion of your thoughts about what you have just said. Then the whole paper should have a final conclusion whare you gather al the partial annd previous conclusions and you make general inferences and concrete deductions about what you just wrote.Se finie...Good luck San2

It just means that they want you to apply the things you are learning to the thing you are observing rather than just talking (describing) that thing. If you wrote a paper about a couple who broke up because the boyfriend cheated on the girl that's descriptive; but to state reasons as to why, in this case something psychological maybe like the boyfriend has commitment issues, or the girlfriend was abusive to him just like her mother was to her-whatever....blah blah....whatever topic your paper is for, the teacher wants you to show examples of the things you are currently learning in your paper. Explaining why the situation you are observing might be. Good Luck!

One is for thinking, the other for describing.

analytically would be thinking, so write the paper explaining what you think, feel (analyzing) the subject. description: would be describing the subject do not do it this way. hope this is helpful God bless****
