Can anyone help me out to correct my statement letter?

Can anyone please help me with writing a letter to my neighbours?

• I was wondering if someone is willing to help me with a letter I am writing to my neighbours? I doing a run for charity tomorrow and trying to maximise my collections, I thought if I write a letter to my neighbours and then turn up, they would be more willing to help me out. What do you guys think of my letter? Does it come across as too confrontational? Impertinent? Desperate? Please tell me if there is anyway I could improve it. Thanks a lot!   Sounds polite and very well explains what you are doing I would change 4 items tho 1) Explain that YOU receive nothing from it but the satisfaction of helping others 2) If they do NOT wish to be bothered or Do Not wish to participate to leave the letter taped tor hung on door and that you will remove it and Not intrude. 3) State that it would be ...Donation X mile or whatever it is. 4) Correct wording would be "pledge" not 'donate' Best Wishes to you in your endeavors.
