Why does this yahoo not add people on my yahoo ask?

Hypocrisy of some people & Yahoo answers service?

  • Why here at Yahoo answers we can't ask everything we want, for eg. if I ask something about ADULT issues, someone will erase my question very very quick. The explanation why they erase something is very very silly: allegedly, the reason is wrong category, but when I try to find right one, THERE IS NO any adult categories! So it in fact means, SOME QUESTIONS ARE FORBIDDEN BY YAHOO ANSWERS service, and all of that in society which proudly call itself ''DEMOCRATIC SOCIETY''. Some say; we should protect children from consuming adult based questions, but the same people in reality doesn't know what their children are doing during their school hours when they're offline, and especially at going out at night. For eg. in America, kids start their sex life before their 12, Oprah Winfrey once said; ''Between kids, oral sex became replacement for night kiss''. (can you imagine that, what kind of world is that & what a hell are doing their parents ?!! ) So isn't it little bit too late to ban adult questions here, when today's kids know (& practice) about sex much much more than we even can (dare to) imagine? If adult questions are biggest problem of this world, why can't than yahoo add some protection methods to detect whether person is adult or child, something similar like they done with their picture browser, where you have to confirm you're adult to browse sexually explicit content. The real world is much much more dangerous than this virtual, but I'm afraid there is no any reliable protection from living the life. What do you thing about this issue?

    You know up front what the guidlines are. There are plenty of adult themes on the internet, how many do you want? As far as saying that Oprah Winfrey what 12 yr kids in America do, she certainly isn't taliking about most of America. I am British (Scots) I live here and most 12 year olds that I know behave like 12 year olds, not so im my native land. You seem to be looking for anything negative to say about the USA.

I think we should try to protect kids on all fronts. When I was growing up, we watched the Brady Bunch, not jerry Springer. Porno was seldom seen and not pop-ups on the internet. I think all that scars kids and I think I'd rather save my adult questions for my friends since we know we can't make parents keep their kids off yahoo answers. Don't fool yourself, the VIRTUAL world is part of the problem in the REAL world.

Loads of kids watch porn yet Yahoo Answers wont let you ask a adult question..that's just the way it goes guess you have to accept it xD

GOOD POINTS !! <jade>~!! Furthermore: i gave up trying to censor myself asfar as the questions I'd ask !! The amount of info I'd let be seen or known !!... I guess there was truly NO safe,secure,personal,private or even 100% freedom of what can be asked HERE !?! atleast not when they'll be deleted before `round 20 persons MIGHT see them !?! ;-{} I'm not about to suggest adding some word,prase or code to further lock this MESS in !! possibly confusing or even making mad those that ?LOL? THOUGHT that had some personal whatever that may not need do much management to!?! I'll bet you feel as I do !?!
