Is college better than high school?

Which is better, high school or college?

  • I'm in high school currently, going to be a junior next year. I enjoy high school, but I'm just wondering if college is considered more fun or a better time in your life than high school. What is your opinion, and what made whatever one better than the other to you?

  • Answer:

Celebrate Both. High School is for the most part very affordable or free. College can be personally expensive. Each is an intellectual "rite of passage" Enjoy them now. Time passes quickly. Remember starting grade school? Guess What? You cannot figure out where the time went.

hii im in gr 11 right now and ii CANT WAIT to graduate... you get sick of seeing the same people each day!... in university you see new ppl everyday and you feel more free and independent.. honestly i think uni/college would be better

Well, you know what they say, high school is the best time of your life so enjoy it while it lasts.

College=best time of your life! Plus, you'll make more $ in your lifetime with a college/associates degree than if you only had a HS degree... You're of legal drinking age in college too.. I can't tell you how many awesome/ridiculous experiences I had in college - there are too many of them! I'm pretty sure that the majority of people that got more than just a HS diploma would agree...

College was the best time of my life.

I liked college better because I didn't have parents breathing down my neck telling me what to do. But that didn't mean that college was easy. It was really hard to be living away from home paying for all my own stuff and working through all the classes. I think in the end I liked the freedom of college better than the easiness of high school.

College = Parties, girls, alcohol, and sex. Wooh, wild times with the cough syrup and mary jane and a monthly supply of condoms from Costco =P although I managed to get a 3.88 GPA since I was a nerd on weekdays and a party animal on weekends. Also you are way more independent since you set up your own schedule and your parents have less control over you. Teachers don't care what you do in class. And COLLEGE actually got me somewhere; thanks to it, I am an accounting department manager in a large company located in downtown Chicago on beautiful Michigan Avenue; and from my office I can see the gorgeous lake Michigan. COLLEGE COLLEGE COLLEGE --> U of I Urbana-Champaign is a great party school as well as a widely respected one. P.S. Make sure you get a fake I.D when you go off to college.

Better is subjective. If you are looking to party, then there is probably more of it in college. If you mean academically, college is much harder. There are many stresses and pressures if you want to finish with good grades. College is probably more like real life. You will be as responsible or irresponsible as you want to. You will then have consequences according to your choices.
