Can you have more than two majors?

Can you go to two different colleges, and for two different majors, at the same time?

  • I have 3 years worth of college credits for business management because I had a change of heart and just want to help people, and really have not that much interest in exploiting them for business. So now I want a degree in sociology, but also want to complete my BA in business in as little time as possible. So my idea right now, as hard as its going to be, is to go two a community college so i can get my associates in Sociology for cheaper, and a different college for my BA in Business to save time. what you guys think? and is it even legal? Please help, I need suggestions and answers. thanks.

    + Not only is it possible, I did this for about a year. Of course it starts to play on your health. I did notice my grade point average started to slip a little. Then I opted to take some supporting courses at the same university I was attending. Those electives were used towards the second degree. This was a great option.

You could definitely do this, but there could be some drawbacks. You will want to check into which of your required classes would transfer between the schools. Also, what about drive time and working the schedules of the two classes. You may end up spending more on gas. You also have to remember that fees will be charged for both schools, so you may end up spending more there too. Something else to think about.... Why can't you help someone with a business degree? I know plenty of businesses that help people. Sociology is a fairly narrow major, and I know lots of people with big hearts who are business majors and I know lots of self centered people with sociology majors.

"It's unquestionable that you can attend as many as your able. I attended two schools at once and did not find it objectionalbe. The commute was hell for a while, but, the more I worked the easier it became ... plus, I didn't have to do it very long after getting about 18 hours toward my major. Also, some of the work at one college will qualify for transfer to another. Work it out!"
