Are text books necessary when studying?

I need a reference of a book or text book which explain how to handle difficult social situations like these?

• I am in a first year of BA psychology .I need to know what text books I should read for social situation below... Like yesterday at my security job I forgot open the gym at 5:00 am and this guy humiliating for 20 minutes and I just keep saying , I really apologize sir , I have nothing more to say other then I forgot and I am sorry . But he was keep on going...but this is not the first time ...this is not the first time ... this is your job come on. #2 situations My ex wanted me to pay for my daughter glasses which I would’t mind to pay, so I just told her that I am not getting enough right to make decisions on my daughter’s life .You just call me when you need money, you never tell me how did she do in school nothing, I feel I am just an ATM. So her reply was, oh you do this all the time, whenever I ask you money ,you just go crazy. You are cheap, you sound like Jew.... and list goes on. I have been used by people all my life, that’s why I am studying psychology to crack these codes. Now I need the field name or book name or text book name to find solution of these problems above thanks
