What is the best way to control anxiety attacks?

Are these really anxiety attacks?

  • it's kind of long so if you could even answer one that would be great! 1.feeling like your mind is like not there. like your mind fell asleep but your body was awake, your completely unaware of your surroundings b/c it's like your sleeping, but your really not. then when you "wake up" everything is really bright, you can't remember where you are, who your with, and sometimes who you are. it happened when something very hurtful and overwhelming happened to me. it felt as though i had no control over what was happening and my efforts would be worthless. (for the record it all turned out ok in the end, but still it was very scary to me) 2. also happening after something hurtful and overwhelming. i got very cold and i shivered violently. i got a feeling as though i was "under water" like i was confused which way was up and down, everything looked grayish and foggy. i couldn't breathe very well my head was spinning my legs shook and my knees gave out and i fell. then my body shook violently, it almost felt like something was throwing me around i was crying uncontrollably and then this weird excruciating pain went through out my whole body, it started right in my stomache on the inside and the outside and just spread until my whole body hurt. and it make me scream, it hurt so bad. this whole thing lasted about an hour and a half. both kinds happened twice i think. 1. in the day 2. very early morning, once at 12-1:30 the other about 2:15-4ish. if they are anxiety attacks what do i do about it? they haven't happened in over a month so should i really worry about it?

    Well it could possibly be a case of panic disorder (which is an anxiety disorder). You should definitely see a psychologist because since they are spontaneous it's not entirely safe to let them continue untreated.
