What are crash/intensive courses?

Would you ever study courses that you dislike just to make your parents happy?

• My parents have been forcing me to take up some courses. My dad wants me to take up some computer courses, while my mum wants me to take up some designing courses. But the problem is. . . I don't have any interest in those courses. Even if i study those courses, i will eventually flunk out because my heart is not into those subjects. I am feeling really upset now. . My parents also constantly force me to work jobs that i extremely hate. Whenever i found a job that i like, they would start criticising my job. I feel really sad. Why does my parents keep trying to control me? And would you ever study courses that you dislike just to make your parents happy?

  No, because what you choose to learn will effect you later in life. Don't live to impress everyone else. I would understand if the career you wanted was like to be a h**ker or something, but if you don't concentrate and study on what you want/need to, you won't be able to get a job you like in the future.
