Do i have OCD or something?

I am having OCD thoughts about something?

  • I had went to go check out a testing facility today, because I am going for employment testing there tomorrow. Initially, when I had arrived at a building location, I had thought that I was at the testing place. However, when I went inside the building, spoke to the person at the front desk, and verified whether or not the location had corresponded to the address that was written on the paper that I was holding in my hand, he said that I was at the wrong location, and that the "right" location was just up the street (while he was talking to me, he got out of his desk cubicle-area, and we both were walking towards the front of the building, looking out through the window). He then gave me directions on how to get to the "right" building location. I then thanked him, and I had left. I then did get to the "right" building, which was just up the street, like the person had said it was. I had started to have OCD thoughts later on. I kept getting this question popping into my mind: "Did I forget anything at the location, where I had originally went to? Did I forget money at the front desk?". However, I do not remember EVER opening my jacket zipper pocket, and taking out any cash for anything, when I had gone by accident to the "wrong" building location. All I remember doing when I had gone inside the building was verify whether or not that was correct location that corresponded to the address on the paper that I was holding, the person walking out of his cubicle desk area, and both of us walking towards the front of the building, and the person giving me directions on how to get to the "right" building location, while we were looking out of the window. However, for some reason, I STILL seem to be getting OCD thoughts that I had forgotten money/cash over there, even thought I have absolutely no memory of ever unzipping my jacket pocket, and taking out any money/cash. Question: Should I call the "wrong" building location tomorrow, and ask the person there if I had forgotten any money/cash at the desk area when I had left the place? I suffer from severe obsessive-compulsive symptoms. It has impaired my life dramatically. I am going to be seeing a psychiatrist for my symptoms very soon.
