Does going on gap year actually improve you C.V?
-
-
Answer:
It can help or hinder depending entirely on what you do during your gap year. Eg. Volunteering abroad, gaining work experience etc are activities that could and should improve your CV. However, if you plan on just taking a break and lounging around/making a bit of money in an unrelated job then it'll do nothing to improve your CV at all really. All in all, having big gaps on your CV is never a helpful thing unless you can explain them, so as long as you do something productive with your time, it definitely can help and gives you something different to talk about in potential interview situations as well as makes you stand out from other candidates :)
