    There are many theories about deja vu, but nothing conclusive, yet. Some people believe it may be caused by DNA memory, the theory that we retain instinct or memories through our DNA from previous ancestors, and it possibly leads to deja vu when we do something similar to what an ancestor did. But again, it's just a theory.
