How can you improve your listening skills?

How can I improve listening skills? The reason I am asking this is b/c I have trouble retaining info. Help.?

• Whenever I tried my best to listen to someone, I have troubles retain even the small details or other details required to give a response for someone who said "What did he say while you were listening?" I need serious help. What are the best ways to retain info. while listening w/o taking notes or writing main points down on a notebook paper? How do I get rid of the "in goes the ear, out goes the other"? This instant forgetfulness really concerned me. This is puting me through living hell. What if an event is an emergency and I need to retain important details from listening to make huge difference. Don't simply tell me to practice b/c I find it super difficult to practice listening skills. Give advice if possible.

  that's a hard question..well how about u listening something u like first,,,like music and then watch movie and trying to remember some of the detail..after that u can also practise by talk with someone who really concern u and understand ur problem.practise with them and also try to get the content of the conversation..hope it help u
