What employment could I pursue after getting an Associates Degree in Psychology?Bachelors Degree?Masters?PhD?

  • I am very interested in helping people with their personal problems.. I want to be able to bring happiness in their life where once there was sadness.. How could I make a living during my pursuit of my Masters Degree??

  • Answer:

That is a wonderful career. You could get a job almost anywhere with a degree in Psychology. Even some big companies keep Psychologist on staff. Other places are hospitals, Hospices, and homes for the retarded (I try not to say the institution word). My brother is at State School; he has been there since he has been 7 years old. He was born with brain damage. I know that he get great care from the Psychologist and all other staff there. These individuals devote their lives so people like my brother can have a fairly normal life. I hope you the best of luck in your career.

Honestly, make money with sales and marketing ... then you can tend to people's emotions ... but with you're skills, take 'em 4 a ride and get rich then help the poor.

Face it... your gonna teach! On a much more serious note, if you're actually good in your field your going to make your money in high end sales... not cars or appliances... things like pharmacuiticals, prosthetics, factory equipment anything really. I see you want to help people and thats noble and most people start out that way and after they have enough of other peoples probs and need a break... look at sales.

I don't think you can get an Associate's Degree in psychology. You can get all the others, though. Have you looked into becoming a psychiatrist? I think more people use psychiatrists because they can prescribe medication. Ask your faculty advisor what you can do in the meantime.

There may be Master's programs that would accept your associate with some additional courses necessary.
